These situations can be more than a little tricky for folks to follow – especially for those interested folks on the periphery of the dog world that are less technically oriented.
This is my attempt to give a plain language explanation these folks would find easy to follow – assuming they’re willing to sit through the duration of the video.
I made this video** yesterday morning (09.02.2023) to try and help folk that have an interest in the dog training world more easily understand the current social media hullabaloo surrounding a statement made @zakgeorge
In the mean time this situation has evolved.
At the time of recording I had not watched the responses put forward by @robertcabral or @ivanbalabanov . I am certain that they will be reasonable, thoughtful resources for folks wanting to know more. Ivan is well known for providing such responses.
✅ Late yesterday Zak posted a video in response to the two trainers listed above calling out the flaws in his statement, and whilst editing this video this morning I saw that Ivan had put out a short and final video in response to that.
My advice to those wanting somewhere to start is to check out Ivan’s response on YouTube entitled “The Real Facts About Science Based Dog Training“
**I did this video in a solitary take. I’m sure I could do a better job with prior planning and more time to invest, but I’ve done what I could with the time that I have.
